The past few weeks have been the busiest and most exciting yet! We have been in the studio tracking the radio version of Father Will You Come and it is AMAZING! Also, Ben and I spent a couple days in Nashville at a writers retreat. It was great. Twenty-five people slammed into a cabin in the woods writing songs! It was like a reality show (except no one was sent home…and no one was engaged by the end of it.)
In the next few months we will begin the process of exploring new sounds and writing new songs. Its exciting when you get a chance to start fresh and begin dreaming about what the next season could look like! Buckle up!

A couple of weeks ago marked our first weekend for Spring 2010. Yes I know it’s not actually Spring yet but when you live in our world, we pretty much only exist in 3 seasons. Fall, Spring, and Summer. Jan-May is Spring but I digress… So far things have been amazing. We spent a weekend in Ridgecrest, NC with Youthquake and had an amazing time in the mountains. This past week we had perhaps the most exhausting 5 days in Unhindered history. It all started with an early morning driving 9 hours down to Port St. Lucie, FL. We drove back through the night to meet at Buckhead church here in Atlanta for a full day of rehearsal preparing for their Night of Worship event that night. The next morning we were off again with a 6 AM airport call to fly to Houston for an Acquire the Fire event followed by worship with the students at Second Baptist Houston West, and a VERY delayed flight back to Atlanta. Yeah… busy. But things seem to be back to normal now.
In other news, I think the guys and I are feeling some cool new inspiration. New sounds and song ideas are flowing like never before. Can’t wait to see how they develop and how God uses it to continue to further his kingdom in a NEW way! See you guys soon!

Well, our first real time of traveling begins this weekend up to Ridgecrest, North Carolina for the YouthQuake conference. We have a busy year ahead of us, and we are ready to take it on!!! There is “talks” of us taking Holly back out a few times this year. Now, some of you might be new to the blog and have never heard anything about Holly. In short, she is a 36 foot box of goodness and likes to have emotional breakdowns at any hour of the day. She is our old RV, but we still love her because she’s beautiful on the inside. ANYWAYS….We really feel like God has big things in store for the church as a whole in 2010. We are seeing revival stir up in the hearts of people all over Atlanta, and we have been watching online the movement of God in other cities in the US. Our prayer continues to be: “Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on EARTH, as it is in heaven.” Our mission is to bring heaven to earth, and represent or “re-present” Jesus to the world. A mentor I look up to asked me the question: “When’s the last time you’ve been in awe of the God that’s inside of You?” I pray in 2010 we will remain more in awe of God and see Him flow through us like a mighty river. We love you guys!!!

Yeah I know… it’s “twenty ten” not “oh ten” but we’re just going to go with it for now… How exciting it is to start a new year. 2009 was awesome for us. With it came two marriages, our first national release, and our first radio single (among several other things of course), but needless to say, we are pumped about 2010 and what God has in store for it.
In more practical news, we just got home from Gatlinburg, TN where we rang in the new year with 19,500 of you folks and had an awesome time doing it! It was one of the few times a year that the wives and close friends get to come out and hang with us and what better city in the entire country to host them than ol’ Gatlin-vegas?? So to everyone who was there, thank you for another memorable year! What were some of the things you folks did to celebrate the new year? Any new years resolutions out there?

These are the type of thoughts that run through my mind on a daily basis. I don’t share them with many people for the mere fact that I don’t want them to be alarmed at the ‘circus-o-fun’ that is my brain. Some may find it scattered and disheveled, but I find it to be a den of wisdom where insight is born. So Journey with me as I bring up a few things you have thought about, but have been to scared to voice to the American public.
- If Rudolf and Bambie got married…would the baby be able to fly? Wait…was Bambi a boy or a girl??
- Why does the easter bunny have eggs? Seriously…I actually have never made that connection.
- When are we going to recognize Chuck Norris’s Birthday as a National Holiday?
Discuss amongst yourselves.

Hi everyone!
I hope all of you are getting into the holiday spirit! Lot’s of candy canes, tacky sweaters, and the big man himself….Santa!!!
We are all enjoying some time home from the road. It’s really nice to see family that we haven’t seen in a while and to catch up with what’s been happening over the last year.
In the spirit of the season…..Here’s your question:
What is one of your funniest Christmas memories!?
Please share!

We just finished an incredible weekend playing out in Billings, Montana…the people are friendly, the snow is beautiful, and the elk are everywhere!!! Well, not everywhere, but we’ve heard stories of elk that come and steal food out of your pantry in the middle of the night….can you believe that?? In other news, we are looking forward to Christmas time and being home with our families. This has been an exciting past few months, and we have loved meeting so many of you out on the road. We wish you all a MERRY Christmas and hope you’ll spend some time remembering the “reason for the season” (as my grandma put it), the birth of Jesus Christ over 2000 years ago!! We love you all.
P.S. What are your favorite Christmas traditions that you’re looking forward to over the holidays??

Ok, I know it’s spelled Turkeys but it just seemed like a fun title for a blog. Thanksgiving is just around the corner which means the guys and I are getting a much needed break. This Fall has been one of our best yet. We have been having an amazing time out with Acquire the Fire and can’t wait to kick it up another notch in the Spring.
I filled out an interview for CCM magazine the other day talking about giving thanks and it really reminded me of all God has blessed me with. It’s really quite amazing when you take a step back, and look at your life how much you really have to be thankful for. So that said I would just encourage everyone this season, as cliche as it might be, to take a moment and regardless of your situation, give thanks to the Lord for what He’s blessed you with. Also we’d love to hear about it here on the blog! Leave us a comment about some of the things you’re especially grateful for this season!

So we are heading to Arizona tomorrow and can’t wait to worship with you guys again! Something about you desert folk makes us happy! In other news, we took Holly out to Virginia last weekend. For those of you who don’t know who Holly is…shame on you. She is about 15 feet tall, 7 feet wide, 38 feet long (longer if we hook a trailer up to her back), and weighs about 2 tons. She enjoys a diesel snack and will decide to break down if she wants to (she is very moody.) Even with her violent temper tantrums, Holly drove like a dream last weekend! We took her to Washington D.C. and she got her picture taken with Obama…well…thats a lie. We aren’t sure how many times we will use her this year, but we can be sure of one thing: She will break down when we do.
So be sure to wish us happy Holly-days (get it?) and we will see you soon!!

I hope everyone is settling into the winter months and getting ready for the holidays. We are wrapping up our last couple of shows before we slow down for some family time, santa visits, bobsledding, and natural snow cones…
We have met many of you at our shows over the last couple of months and would love to hear some stories about you getting to meet your favorite band member or funny things that happened while at an Unhindered show… Let’s hear ‘em!!!
Dash
P.S.
The “talk of the town” in Unhindered world right now is……..(drum roll)……We may be taking “Holly” (our old RV) out on the road this weekend for a trip. It is still being decided but we’ll keep you posted on the decision. If we do take her out I’m sure we will have many hilarious stories to come! So stay tuned!!!
