What an event filled few weeks it’s been! As of late April, the new record has officially begun. We’ve been doing our best to keep everyone updated via twitter but for those unaccustomed to the twittersphere, drums, bass, and most of the keyboards are all done! We’ll be wrapping up almost all of the keys by the end of the week and it’ll be off to guitar-land! I have to say that we’re really excited about the sonic direction of the record. We really feel that it’s uncharted territory for the Christian market and are really anticipating getting it out there to you guys.
Amidst the studio, we also had the opportunity to head up to good ol’ NJ for the Greater New York Battle Cry event at the Izod Center Arena. What an awesome weekend! Even more exciting, we recorded audio and video there to hopefully get out some awesome new live music for you guys before the record comes out. So be sure to stay tuned for more and more updates. A lot is going on and we’ve got some cool things in the cooker we really think you guys are going to like!

Hey everyone! Dash here…just wanted to take a second and let you know that we have been working hard on many new songs! Some of them you may have heard if you’ve seen the band live recently. We played a few of them in Texas and Orlando and got a great response. We are excited for you to experience them too and hope to see you at an Unhindered show soon!

It’s been a few weeks now since I last checked in with everyone via the world-wide-internets so hopefully you’ve been doing well. I write to you now from an amazing little sandwich shop here in Decatur GA called Sawiki’s. We just finished our monthly meeting down the street at Pat’s place discussing all kinds of boring stuff but on an exciting note we are slowly narrowing down our choices for who we would like to produce the next record. Naturally, I’m not at liberty to discuss on the blog, but no fear Unhinderedites, we are very very excited about the songs that are coming out and have what we think are some very cool ideas for directions we would like to take the on the record. I know it feels like we’ve been talking about this for a while and you might be saying to yourself (in your speech impediment), “Unhindered’s new wecord is NEVUR coming out!!!” but hang in there! It is a long process but it will be here before you know it! In the meantime, definitely come out and see us on the road to hear some of the new songs! Until then….

Its that time of year! Terrible sweaters. Mall traffic. And most importantly…Santa. I love Christmas! Sad to say, Meg and I haven’t picked up a tree yet (which is sad…stop judging me.) So here is the hang up: If you wait to long to get a tree, there comes a date when it isn’t worth it anymore! Let me explaine. I am on a plane as I write this blog headed to Las Vegas with family. By the time we get back to Atlanta, we will really only have 4 days(ish) to enjoy the tree! Thats a lot of work for 4 days. I just don’t know if it is worth it! Just sayin!
I do know this, whether we get a tree or not, Christmas is coming! We have all been enjoying some time off from traveling this december. We will start again at the end of the month, but it is nice to have a break to spend extended amounts of time with friends and family. We have also been doing tons of writing. Ben and I took a trip with our wives to London to write with some AMAZING guys over there. We came back with some great songs and even better friendships! The plan is to start recording a new record in the spring, so we are starting to get the creative juices flowing! If you have any ideas for songs…shoot em over!

Wow! I’ll be the first to admit that it has been way too long since our last blog post so I’ll start this one by asking for your forgiveness. Please?? Thank you. Now to catch you up…
Things in Atlanta have been amazing. We have been on the road quite a bit with conferences, concerts, and everything in between but are taking the month of December off (mostly) to spend the holidays with family and friends and to recharge for the madness that is the Spring schedule. Let’s be honest though, that’s not really all that exciting. But this is!
We have also been spending quite a bit of time in the studio writing and demoing for a new record! We’re extremely excited about this. We are really feeling God saying some new things in worship and can’t wait to share more of what’s on our heart. As part of this process, Ben and Pat took a trip to London to write with some amazing songwriters (Matt Redman, Ben Cantelon, and Nick Herbert), so we’re extremely excited to finally get some of these songs to tape (or hard-drive as the times would have it) and out to you guys.
The “Tour Dates” page of the site is soon to be back up and running as well, so we look forward to seeing some of y’all out there in the Spring!
Happy Holidays!!!

Hello everyone!
I am writing to you from the Centennial Motel in West VA! We are playing for a conference called GoTell. The week has been going great. We have connected with Rick Stanley along with the camp pastor Jordan Easley. Last night there was about 27 kids who gave their lives to Christ for the first time! Party in heaven! Tonight we heard from Ergun Caner. He brought the HEAT!
In other news, these next few weeks are going to be super busy for us. Tons of traveling which means, tons of time away from home. Please continue to keep us in your prayers as we travel. Thank you so much for your love and support!

What a weekend! Between 70,000 people at Creation East, worshipping to some brand new songs, and driving through the night to celebrate the 4th of July with friends and family…I don’t know where to start!
We had our very first experience at Creation East in Pa on Saturday and it was great! It is new for us to lead worship at an outdoor festival and it was great! It is incredible seeing people from all ages meet in a field and celebrate God. If you were there, you got a treat: New Songs! It was amazing to see how quickly people learned and started worshipping. We had a blast and hope to see some more of you at Creation West. GET READY!
God is doing so much in us right now, it is hard to find words to explain it! What I can explain is that we are loving this season of life. Pray for us as we continue to write and dream for what the future holds.

The Summer has officially kicked off and camp season is in full force. During the Fall and Spring, we find ourselves in and out of more conferences which keeps us much much busier during the day. Summer brings more camps, festivals, and pool time! In other words an opportunity to do a lot more hanging and spend time on songwriting and dreaming for the next year.
Yesterday while Pat, Dash, and I were hanging by the pool we just began to discuss how excited we all were for the next season of Unhindered. God has really brought us each individually into some cool successes that are contributing to Unhindered in a new way. Even after 7 years of being on the road with these guys the Lord continues to find ways to make it fresh for us. Bottom line, we’re loving life and every day we look forward to the next. See you guys on the beach!

It is always fun to travel somewhere for the first time! Though we have been to Canada, we had never been to Edmonton. It was great!
(On a hilarious side note… Apparently, it gets dark around 11:00 p.m. over there at this time of year. You would not believe how confused I was looking out my hotel window at 10:30 p.m. wondering what was going on and why the sun was still up! Confused is an understatement!!)
We also had the opportunity to meet Jason Upton (www.jasonupton.net). This was one of the experiences that we will think about for a long time! This guy loves God, his family, and his friends more than anyone you have ever seen. He also feels complete freedom to be himself. He doesn’t try to be someone else. He knows who God made him to be and he lives it! It was amazing to have the chance to sit and hang with him for a bit over the weekend. It is always great to meet someone with a different perspective and learn from them. Inspiring.
I hope that this summer, we are able to continue to meet some great new friends! We will be heading out to the Missouri in a few days and can’t wait to worship with you guys. It’s gonna be great!

Hi everybody! Sorry I missed all of you last weekend in Philly! The guys all said they had a blast and I wish I could have been there too. My wife and I were in Tokyo helping our friends with the Passion World Tour! It’s really cool seeing what God is doing all over the world!
It’s great to be back with the boys and we’re headed to Canada tomorrow! It’s gonna be a great weekend worshiping with all of you! It’s been about 6 months I think since we were there last so it’s gonna be nice to be back! See ya there!!
