We just finished an incredible weekend playing out in Billings, Montana…the people are friendly, the snow is beautiful, and the elk are everywhere!!! Well, not everywhere, but we’ve heard stories of elk that come and steal food out of your pantry in the middle of the night….can you believe that?? In other news, we are looking forward to Christmas time and being home with our families. This has been an exciting past few months, and we have loved meeting so many of you out on the road. We wish you all a MERRY Christmas and hope you’ll spend some time remembering the “reason for the season” (as my grandma put it), the birth of Jesus Christ over 2000 years ago!! We love you all.

Spending time with my family and friends! I love seeing all the people I rarely see otherwise because they live so far away. Also, the Christmas Cantata at my church that we have every year is amazing!

Elk? That’s frikkin awesome!!!!!!!
So like it snowed all day yesterday and it was awesome! IT SNOWED IN MARYLAND! I’m from the Michiana area where there is lake effect snow, where if you get a foot of snow you’re still in school.. But when we moved to Maryland a half inch would get you out for like 2 days.. LOL..
My favorite holiday traditions are when we go to Indiana.
1. I get to go around shopping and I’m kept busy.
2. I get to see my family.
3. There’s a lot of cute babies to see and hold and make fun of the toddlers. LOL.
4. There is this resturaunt called Hacienda and the have the BEST BEST BEST guacamole I’ve ever had and they give you this huge bowl of it and I haven’t been to it in over a year…
5.Seeing my extended family react to my punk-scene style of clothing, make up, hair, and music. It’s so fun! Like I know they love me, but I think I kinda scare them.. And it’s funny to watch!
That’s my traditions and Holiday Stuff… What’s your guyses? You asked us ours but didn’t tell. LOL..
Happy Christmas, and Merry New Year.. Don’t drink to much eggnog, one of you may have to drive from the Holly-days home..
PS. I’m praying for you guys.. If everything works out with the volunteering thingy, that Chrispy mentioned, I’m gonna need to pray for you and my Mom, if you guys, Pat, specifically remember last year… Oh Lord have mercy!
you guys were awesome! and by the way out here in montana elk dont eat out of our pantrys. we see them alot and they are everywhere in montana but not in the city! we do have deer in our yard every once in a while though. and the snow is awesome but you guys saw nothing. it only snowed like an inch and it wasn that cold. it was only 19 degrees most the time in the middle of december its way colder( right now its 5 degrees and has been snowing all day long!!) merry christmas you guys and thank you for sharing your wisdom with us! look forward to hear you all again!

So, Hamilton experienced the first snowfall of the winter season, making Christmas time more official! I am currently wrapping gifts at the moment. Shopping day 3 (and hopefully the shopping final day) is anytime within tomorrow and the weekend. Next week I’m off to lunch dates and dinners with friends and families!
Best Christmas tradition of Cruz family though is the secret santa! Every year, we come up with the funniest ideas to make fun of the person we picked! Everyone awaits who does the craziest Christmas gift-giving prank!
By the way, yesterday at church, our pastor asked us how would feel if someone you adore spends a day with you. The word pretty much was about what would you do when Jesus comes and would like to be with you in a day. But before that, our pastor asked, looking at the youth group, what if Unhindered comes here and invites you to spend a day with them, what would you do? Funny that my sister gave me the look, yes-i-know-what-will-happen-to-you look! Faint first then go bonkers, then faint again. Ha! ^_^
Allison that’s awesome! Bet you can’t wait for ATF, eh? My part of MD didn’t get slush, we got like an inch of snow… No slush.. LOL.
Nice. And, no, I can’t wait for ATF!!! It’s the best weekend of my life (and I’ve only been to one so far). LOL. But haven’t you said before you’re going to the one in Baltimore? Because I’m going to the one in Richmond. Oh, well. Nice to know we’re from the same state! We’re the Maryland-ians of the Unhindered blog world!

It is good to hear that you guys had a great year. And the elk in the pantry thing I kinda think that was the children getting a midnight snack and then blaming the elk. They are easy to blame…. I know this because I have blamed them for some for my mischieving ways. And the tradition I am most looking forward to is hanging out with family and friends. We all go to my grandfather’s ranch in Oregon and it is a blast. Over the years I have come to receive many great memories. We play in the snow and drink lots and lots of hot choco. Hopefully 2010 will be just as great as 2009 was. I hope you all have a fantastic holidays and enjoy the time off while you have it. God Bless
